mean-ness? if a terrorist made it thru the southern border, I think ‘mean-ness’ wouldn’t enter anyone’s minds for securing the border .. the way other countries do.. arizona made no new immigration law.. they are only enforcing the existing laws from wash, dc…
we are descended from illegals? my family became naturalized citizens legally.. and my parents and i were born here.. legal enough ?
don’t forget how forgiving the usa can be… ronald reagan put in place a means for all the illegals in his day to be able to apply legally… and they did !
why isn’t the canadian border a problem? why isn’t it open? you ARE quizzed and have to provide papers to get in and out… (us and them)…
HOW ABOUT COMPANIES THAT EMPLOY ILLEGALS?
WHY IS THAT ALLOWED TO CONTINUE ?
UNDERPAID? NO BENEFITS ? SOMEONE IS MAKING A BOATLOAD OF CASH !
THAT’S WHY NOTHING IS BEING DONE !
try going into mexico illegally? their laws are much more strict than ours…

the problem seems to be that legal people of spanish descent might be asked to show ID…
me? ask and I’ll show.. i have nothing to hide…

and if someone in nebraska heard their taxes would be doubled to provide for illegals from anywhere… i think they’d be just as pissed off…

arizona isn’t against immigration (legal).. they aren’t against a race… they aren’t making up laws… i’m sure if wash,dc wrote them a check for the cost of the illegals… they’d be putting up a WELCOME sign… the more the merrier…

it’s not a problem for a non-border state till it’s coming out of YOUR pocket to pay for it…
PLUS… there are plenty of people waiting their LEGAL turn to get in who may have to wait longer because of people jumping the line…
who’s going to pick the fruit ? who’s going to do the lowest level jobs ?
how about a ‘migrant worker’ allowance… come in… get paid.. pay taxes.. leave

i’m not against anyone… but i can feel the pain of an already strained budget and unfairness to people who pay the freight….
nationality or racism isn’t the concern for me…
and mean? you can’t have everything you want, just because you want it !

I do not think anyone is racist just because they are concerned about illegal immigration, but there IS a lot of meanness connected with lots of people’s thoughts on the subject,and a lot of that meanness is, (I suspect) at least partially racist. As for my own thoughts on this subject– if we are so concerned about “illegals” then all us white people should go back to Europe because we are the descendants of “illegals”. Don’t believe me? Ask an Indian (Or in PC native american)

i can’t argue with you… but there was no draft during the bush years and still protests… where are they now ? and why wasn’t there tea party protests under bush? demonstrating (something i can never get away for) seems more a function of being pissed off at the OTHER party, not some deep commitment to the country….

Hi Gary, you were fussing about no anti war protests under president Obama—I’ll tell you what I think–everyone I have told wants to lynch me– I guess it reflects on the purity of their Vietnam protests—–it’s simple, no draft! With an all volunteer Army only the relatives of the soldiers care! If we still had the draft we wouldn’t be in the mideast–the public wouldnt stand for it! W treated the volunteer army like it was his own personal palace guard, or perhaps I should say Cheney and Rumsfeld did. Badger

Johnny Maestro’s final concert appearance was on January 17, 2010. He died on March 24, 2010. The man and his music will be remembered forever by his fans.

ONE ? Then you could be teased for the rest of the year for being the boyfriend or girlfriend of someone when ‘coupling’ is the last thing on a grammar school boy’s mind… well, in the olden days anyway… can they even serve ANYTHING anymore ? With all the odd allergies we never had back then it was never a problem.. NOW ? You could end up in court.. criminalliy or civilly !

About Valentine’s Day—we never gave valentines to everyone in class—too expensive! We drew names, you had to give a valentine to the person whose name you drew plus, of course, your friends! The teacher always made us a fancy “mail Box” for the Valentines. The Room Mother served us each a glass of punch and a cupcake. This was grammar school of course, and my favorite holiday.

I can definitely see Sarah in there too… If you saw Catherine Tate walking and talking.. you’d see an extreme likeness of her… the only shots of her I could find in google searches were ‘glam’ shots… seems she likes to look her best in print….
