CASEY ANTHONY UNDER THREAT
OF HARM or VIOLENCE ?

ANYONE capable of that kind of action
is JUST AS BAD as they claime she is !

THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN HER !

THEY ARE ANIMALS (too?)
AND SHOULD BE LOCKED UP !

If they just need an excuse to ‘hurt’ someone,
they are too dangerous to be walking about !
(the ‘they’ sure went after OJ, didn’t they?)

I’m thinking Casey might be cashing-in

on alot of LIBEL-SLANDER suits !

Media outlets might be ‘lawyered-up’…
but individuals might not be so smart
in what they say and do…

Harmon Killebrew



Killebrew is 11th on baseball’s all-time home run list.
His eight seasons with 40 or more homers still is tied for second
in league history to Babe Ruth, and his uppercut swing
formed the silhouette that inspired Major League Baseball’s official logo.

At Target Field, where the video board showed a picture of Killebrew,
members of the Twins’ ground crew slowly lifted home plate
and slipped under it a plastic-encased, black-and-white photo of Killebrew
winding up for a swing. The picture, believed to be from the 1960s,
will stay beneath the plate the rest of the season.

The 11-time All-Star was the American League’s MVP in 1969
after hitting 49 home runs with 140 RBIs and 145 walks,
all team records that stand to this day.

Behind their soft-spoken slugger nicknamed “The Killer,”
the Twins reached the World Series for the first time in 1965
and back-to-back AL Championship Series in 1969 and 1970.

Killebrew was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1984,
the 1st Twin to be enshrined. Killebrew’s No. 3 jersey was retired in 1975.
Killebrew’s easygoing demeanor contrasted starkly with his nickname
and standing as one of baseball’s most feared hitters.

Killebrew didn’t just hit balls over the fence,
he turned at-bats into longest-drive contests.
He never worried much about his short game,
preferring instead to swing for the fences.

On June 3, 1967, Killebrew belted the longest home run
in Met Stadium history, it reached the 2nd deck of the bleachers
in the old park, some 500 feet from home plate.

Harmon was as tough and feared a competitor on the field
as the game has ever seen, while off the field he touched everyone
he encountered with his sensitive and humble nature.

CONGRATS to DEREK JETER…

the (amazingly) FIRST NY Yankee
to reach 3000 hits !!!

WHAT OCCURRED TO ME ?

The ball was a homerun caught by a fan.
It is customary for said fan to keep the ball
as his own property !  This fan returned it
to Derek Jeter instead of cashing in on an
expensive souveneir ball (half a million maybe?).

MY TAKE ON IT ?

I seem to remember a fan catching the record-setting
homerun ball of some ‘juice-head’ a few years back.
If I’m remembering correctly,
he was offered something like $400,000 for the ball,
but decided to keep it instead…

UNTIL…

The Internal Revenue Service, the IRA, the TAXMAN
attached that value to the ball
and expected the fan to pay tax on that amount !
Forcing him to sell the ball to pay the tax man
and make a nice profit for himself
instead of a sports heirloom !

SO WHO’S PAYING THE TAX
ON THE JETER BALL ?

Actually, he should have a liability.
(setting sports paraphenalia & ‘comped’ tickets on its ear)

CASINOS & RACETRACKS HAVE ‘WIN LIMITS’
THAT ‘SIC’ THE TAX MAN ON YOU,
EXPENSIVE (free) BALLPARK TICKETS
SHOULD BE DECLARED TOO !

(a pair of elite Yankee tix = a month’s rent)

but since he GAVE the ball away as a ‘gift’…
Jeter, or the Yankees, should be liable
for a gift tax (still a big bite) !

IF THEY LET THE TAX LIABILITY SLIDE,
THEY OWE A REFUND TO THE GUY
WITH THE OTHER BALL !

If Ralph Kramden had to pay tax on the
horse with the clock in its stomach

(he won it in a raffle at the RACCOON LODGE),

THERE IS TAX DUE ON THIS GIFT
WHICH IS BASICALLY ADDED INCOME !

YOU can’t give your mother over $10,000
without the bank reporting it to the IRS !


Recalling a 2004 incident, Oprah Winfrey gave 276 cars
to the audience of her show, who were surprised to discover
they incurred tax obligations of around $7,000.

WHAT A FRIGGIN’ MESS !!!

Jeter should have kept the hit
in the ball park !

AND remember to pay the tax

has published it’s final issue !

Rupert Murdoch’s team’s ‘news’ gathering ‘techniques’
led to such a huge, & growing, scandal
that he decided to fight with out-rage & disgust
instead of perhaps ‘chancing’ a jail sentence ?

RUPERT DECIDED TO TRY AND
STOP-THE-BLEEDING BY SHUTTING DOWN !

One of his OTHER publications may pick up the slack
and publish a more ‘moderate’ paper…
plenty of money to be made from people
who just buy out of habit after all these years !
I’m sure ‘regular’ invasive investigations
will be taking the place of electronic spying.

as the R.I.P death tribute of the week…

I gave my opinion that she should have faced
criminal charges for BULLYING a woman to death !
Add a sexual component, instead of a dead child,

Not exactly about Casey Anthony,
but her instance made me think…

It seems to be against the law
to LIE to a police officer investigating a crime…
a prosecute-able offense !

SEEMS TO MAKE SENSE

But, on EVERY police or lawyer show,
the courts support the rights
of a police agency (or district attorney)
to LIE to persons of interest, or suspects,
or anyone else they want to gain their ‘ends’ !

ALSO, SEEMS TO MAKE SENSE

IT MAY BE ‘RIGHT’, BUT IT ISN’T FAIR !
Seems you can be locked up
for most any reason once they ‘want’ you !

The ONLY place (pre-miranda rights)
you should be CRIMINALLY RESPONSIBLE
for your words, should be in a written, signed statement
that you have agreed to sign-off on
as legally binding subject to prosecution for lies.

YOU shouldn’t be video-taped or voice recorded
without your written permission either.
(your lawyer would never agree to it)

FYI – YOU aren’t allowed to ‘tape’ anyone,
including a police officer, without full-disclosure.

FOURTH of JULY Bar-B-Q

It went off really well…

only a few of my ‘colorado kid’s’ friends showed up,
so it was mostly family and much fun.

ONE CLOSE-CALL ?

One of his female friends showed up with child in tow.
Turns out that she used to date my nephew,
even went to a prom or 2 with him.
My nephew was in attendance at the bar-b-q…
along with his wife, 4 year old, & the baby.
IT COULD HAVE BEEN EMBARASSING !
(by the way, he shaves his head)

I was afraid the girl would drag in a
bald-headed 5 year old
and pull a ‘SCHWARTENEGGAR-SHRIVER’ on him & his wife !

FALSE ALARM…

THE KID HAD A FULL HEAD OF HAIR !

FAN MAIL FROM SOME FLOUNDER ?

I saw an old clip on tv

and they were talking about receiving

’so-many’ thousands of fan mail letters.

20 or 30 thousand letters in those days

could make-you-or-(a low number)-break you !



It got me to wondering…

HOW DO THEY MEASURE FAN RESPONSE NOW ?
(email, facebook, twitter, etc),
HOW DO THEY COMPILE THE NUMBERS ?
and
WHAT KIND OF NUMBERS ARE SIGNIFICANT ?
Uh, significant to the point of being on a ‘pedestal’.

IT’S GOT TO BE IN THE MILLIONS !

(even RIP Renfield is good for near 50,000 hits a year)

Finally, I ‘broke-the-ice’,
and I’m hoping it will be easier in the future !

I DEFIED GRAVITY,  I WAS FLOATING !!!
(controlled floating)

It was up the side of a brick wall,
guiding myself upwards with my hands
(more of a sitting-lying down position on the way up)
Some ‘unknown’ people were below,
looking up at me… after me?
The brick wall had insets here & there at 45 degree angles
that let me slide down a short distance.

I’M HOPING I CAN REPEAT (and control)

MY SOLUTION TO THE FAN’S

JETER BALL TROUBLES ?

Give the ball back to the fan,
have him sell it back to Jeter,
use the sale money to pay the tax on his ‘gifts’,
and maybe have a few bucks left over…

OR

Have the Yankees do the ‘classy’ thing
and pick up the tab for taxes.

OR

Have some company pay the tax
and get tons of good-will advertising
that will  more than cover their cost.

OR

If the Yankees sit back & wait for media attention to fade,
and don’t (or won’t) do the classy thing…
I’d love to see someone else point out
what skunks the Yankees are being…

BEST WAY ?

The BOSTON RED SOX pay the tax
and THEY do the ‘classy’ thing !

OUCH… THAT WOULD HURT !

Make everyone forget about both
Jeter’s accomplishment & him being an a-hole !

NO ALL-STAR APPEARANCE ?

Jeter is NOT the best player in baseball,
but, for the moment, he is
THE ‘FACE’ of BASEBALL
and really fucked-up & ‘created’ bad talk
and feelings about himself
for NOT participating in the ALL-STAR GAME !
(maybe he thinks he didn’t deserve the invite?)

He needed the all-star-break for rest?
They ONLY reason for the break
is the ALL-STAR GAME,
an appearance should be mandatory !

or is he more-than-pissed that number 3000
comes along with a kid named Lopez in tow ?

TOPPS announced that LOPEZ
will be getting his own baseball card !

WHICH WILL BE ENSHRINED AT COOPERSTOWN !

I’ve seen it twice but didn’t note the product

Grandpa goes to ’supposedly’ quiet-down
his grand-daughter’s female rock band.
He demands her guitar, she hands it over,
and apologizes for the noise sheepish-ly…
but instead of ‘anger’, grandpa rocks out
with some equally LOUD Steppenwolf ‘power-chords’
(grandma’s groovin’ in the background)
to the delight of the girl band members who should be
starting to ‘jam’ as the commercial ends.

GRANDPARENTS ARE A ‘YOUNG’ mid-60-ish(?)…

who was amazed that I was pretty up-to-date
on most ‘current’ music… (still having dislikes, of course)

THE ‘SEARCHERS’ AREN’T  AN OFFICIAL AGENCY

That’s what I estimate my time was worth
searching for Caylee here in New Jersey.
Everytime I went out (for months)
I’d take a look around, just in case !

NANCY  GRACE
and how much she is disliked around the country.
