WHAT A GOOD RUN FOR THE NY JETS !
It’s not like they belong in the running,
but it’s all timing, when you’re hot, you’re hot !
and there’s no time like the playoffs

It’s given long-suffering Jet fans
something to cheer about…
and bragging rights (this year) over the NY Giants !

WELL, AT THIS STAGE NOBODY LOSES…
You either advance to the Superbowl,
actually win the superbowl,
or get to donate all the shirt & hat team merchandise
(PRE-printed as if the LOSING TEAMS won the Superbowl)
to the earthquake victims in HAITI !

HAITI

The horrendous subject has been beaten
to death in the news media…
and, I’m sure, our prayers (and dollars) go out to them…

ONE OBSERVATION…

There seems to be an awful lot of media
that made the trip to HAITI.
There seems to be more than a few politicians
from other countries making the trek there…

WOULDN’T IT MAKE MORE SENSE
FOR A ‘SKELETON’ NEWS POOL
OF JUST A FEW WHO SHARE THEIR REPORTS ?
Every CREW that shows up with their broadcast equipment
are taking up space in a plane that could have
used that space to take more emergency supplies !!!

I’M SURE AN EXTRA FEW HUNDRED POUNDS
OF WATER, FOOD, OR MEDICAL SUPPLIES
WOULD HELP ALOT MORE THAN
FACE TIME FOR A NEWS PERSON !!!

and the same goes for ANY politician going there…
Do they REALLY need to see it first-hand ?
THEY CAN SEE PLENTY ON TV !!!

UH… and I’m sure the reporters & politicians
aren’t going hungry or thirsty…
That food and water could have gone to a local !

(I’M JUST SAYIN’)

Senator Lautenberg’s idea to better security
is to give huge fines & jail sentences
to people that walk thru the wrong door,
or thru the wrong gate while the guard is napping…
I GUESS TO MAKE TERRORISTS THINK
TWICE BEFORE TRESSPASSING !
(keep the plane safe, set off your bomb in the terminal)

Now… this may prevent inconveniencing other passengers,
but what does it do for security ?
(it’s more of a revenue producer)

HIRE MORE GUARDS,
AND HOLD THEM TO HIGH STANDARDS,
OR LOCK THE GUARD UP !!!

BEFORE I’D INCREASE PENALTIES…
I’d offer $100 rewards to regular people
who take pics on their cell phones
of security personnel NOT DOING their jobs properly !!!
(or leaving a door or gate unlocked or unguarded)

PERHAPS THAT WOULD PRESSURE THE TSA
AND NUDGE THEM TO THE RIGHT SOLUTION !

that agreed with my assessment

of the Chinese guy arrested foR

the security breach at Newark Airport…

saying that he might not be as

it’s not classic Italian-type pizza,

but are they alien-ating OLD customers?

The powers-that-be can be very patient cock-suckers !
Back in the old days…
you’d have a VCR to tape and watch your tv shows & movies.
Although you couldn’t skip ‘chapters’ with a momentary click,
you could fast forward thru intro’s, commercials,
and coming attractions…
NOW… THEY’VE MASTERED THE ‘FORCED’ COMMERCIAL !
Buy a newer DVD?   You can’t get past the very long
coming attractions… DVR or TIVO ? same thing coming…
(programmed to make commercials un-avoid-able)

YOUTUBE or INTERNET VIDEO ?
For the time being 15 to 30 second commercials…
but just wait.. foot-in-the-door…
they’ll expand slowly enough to avoid viewer screams !
But they’ll be 2 or 3 minutes before too long…

THE VIEWING PUBLIC HAS BEEN CAREFULLY
WEANED OFF THE OLD AND ONTO THE NEWER
TECHNOLOGY JUST TO JAM MORE
UN-AVOID-ABLE ADS DOWN YOUR THROAT !!!

I stopped enjoying (and watching) late nite tv
even before Johnny Carson went to a 4 day week !
I don’t find the phony, non-spontaneous format
the least bit entertaining…
THE FORMAT IS OLD, OUT-OF-DATE, ABANDON IT !!!

It’s like the letters to PARADE MAGAZINE…
coincidentally the celebrity questioned
has a new project that needs promoting !

I DON’T CARE FOR LENO, LETTERMAN, OR CONAN…
Their programming situation with them fighting
each other and the network is the best thing
they’ve even done (as far as I’m concerned)…
and I still only want to read the one-liner re-cap…

THE PERFECT ENDING FOR NBC ?
(The poorly run network without a clue)
would be if JAY LENO returned to late nite…
(abandoning his 10pm show)
and falls on his BIG chin and the show flops !!!
(he caught lightning in a bottle once.. twice? we’ll see)

I don’t know why.. but I would enjoy that !!!

I read the piece by Jim Shea and, if I was on the payroll,
or was well connected to the ‘museum’,
or friends with some of the higher ups…
I could easily justify the grandness, & integrity, of the organization.
Just like I’d be on KENT’s side even if FORGOTTEN HITS
went off the deep end.  But there has been a continuous flow
of criticism of the museum, and not by just excluding some
individual’s personal favorite.  It’s no Cooperstown, that’s for sure…
it’s much closer to getting a glimpse of Jann Wenner’s
personal record collection… and ‘ROCK’ ?  Replace it with ‘MUSIC’…
Rock isn’t a necessity for induction (PC?)…
I’m all for preserving and archiving and getting the story correct…
but the ‘HALL’ has a long way to go (generations?) to respectability!
IT’S THE VIEW OF A SMALL GROUP WHO TOUTS THEMSELVES
AS THE END-ALL IN ROCK…
so learn to dance to THEIR tune !!!

AND REALLY…
IS IT ABOUT THE MUSIC ORTHE MONEY TO BE MADE?
