HAPPY  NEW  YEAR
(and the Christmas wrap-up)

Even though I went ‘light’
on the receiving end of Christmas…
(not a problem to me)
I thought Xmas went great !!!
The big ‘to-do’ at my mother’s house
(50 or 60 family & friends) was very enjoyable…
and the good news there was that my mother
had a decent time even though she slipped & fell earlier…
(xmas day hospital? nothing broken, arm & knee swolen)

I was so in the spirit of the holiday…
that I did something I never did before…
I phoned the RIP Renfield staff !!!
(all that time & we’ve never heard each other’s voices)

I DID MY DIALING FROM HERE IN NEW JERSEY…

First I called Tish (pillbug) in OREGON…
responsible for top banners, art-work, & reaper logo…

Xmas Eve I called Dave (sunset cowboy) in GERMANY…
webmaster, also mysterylyrics.com, total oldies,
and working in tandem with the CARO organization…

MOSTLY HOLIDAY GREETINGS…
plus a few minutes of pleasant chat !
I REALLY SHOULD DO THAT MORE OFTEN !!!

SOMEHOW I GOT ALOT DONE…
I was super-prepared before xmas,
the ‘tense’ part was very smooth…
and I got alot done afterwards.
MAYBE IT’S THE REASONABLE WEATHER
AFTER ALL THAT FRIGID NONSENSE !!!

WHO CARES?  I’LL TAKE IT !!!

and hope for a repeat next year in 2009 !

ERNIE KOVACS

Ernie Kovacs was an American comedian
whose uninhibited, often ad-libbed, and visually experimental
 comic style came to influence many television comedy programs
 for years after his early death in an automobile accident.
Such iconoclastic shows as Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In,
Monty Python’s Flying Circus, The Uncle Floyd Show,
Saturday Night Live and even Captain Kangaroo
 are seen as having made use of Kovacs’ influence.

AN ORIGINAL & AN INNOVATOR…
at least a decade ahead of the viewing public!

Kovacs used an ad-libbed and experimental style that would
come to make his reputation, including video effects,
superimposing, reverse polarities & scanning, & quick blackouts.
He was also noted for abstraction and carefully timed
 non sequitur gags and for carefully allowing the
so-called fourth wall to be breached.
Kovacs’ cameras commonly showed his viewers activity
 beyond the boundaries of the show set—
including crew members &, on occasion, outside the studio itself.

occurred in a country less ‘civilized’ than we…

I think, as a country, we should laugh at it !

Auction them off to ebay (or where-ever),
they should bring plenty,
and use the proceeds for some
JEWISH or CHRISTIAN charity !!!

I’d like to see President Bush ask for mercy
for the mentally challenged shoe-thrower…
be magnanimous about it…
like he’s a pimple-on-bush’s-ass !!!

AND THE FUN PART ?

Now the supporters of the guy
will demand & insist he be left in prison
so as not to accept any ‘crumbs’ from Bush !!!

FINALLY…

The only embarassment was the slow response
of the Secret Service !!!
In Reagan’s day… they were quick to take a bullet for him.

to see them thru.. in case they became house-bound
for a day or 2… or more !!!

is offended because a COMEDY show,
doing a COMEDY skit, made him a national figure
by lampooning him (and his blindness) !

By the definition of comedy…
SOMEONE COMES OUT ON THE SHORT END !!!

They didn’t lampoon a homeless guy on the street,
the used a fair-game public figure !

You may just have been treated the most
‘equally’ you ever have been in your life !

An appearance on the show as a ‘good sport’
would have gone alot further with the public
than the politically correct garbage forced on us !!!

concerning her willingness to be filmed nude
now that she’s of legal age…

She’s a very agree-able young lady…
very polite, very professional…

I got her to agree to go back to my place…
and let me ‘fire-up’ the old camcorder !!!

He’s stupid enough to be the governor of New Jersey !!!

but MISTER ‘SENSITIVITY’
proposing an ‘obesity’ tax ?
(18% on sugar-ed drinks?)
Year after year they provide more proof
that obesity (not over-weight) is a genetic disorder !!!
(isn’t some blind-ness a genetic disorder too ?)

WHY CALL IT AN OBESITY TAX ?
Can’t he ’sugar-coat’ it… (and tax the sugar-coating?)
PLUS… the non-obese pay it too !!!

POLLUTERS ARE ALLOWED TO SELL THEIR
‘UNDER-THE-CAP’ LEVEL OF POLLUTION,
TO COMPANIES WHO SURPASS THEIR ALLOWABLES !!!
If an obese travels with a bulimic (throw-up people),
does it average out ?   No need to tax ?
(or do they get you coming and going ?)

Great time for new taxes…
with the economy & employment in the ‘dumper’ !

WHY DON’T WE HAVE A BLIND TAX ?

I suggest higher tax rates for public officials,
to show us how they bite-the-bullet in hard times !

I THINK THERE IS AMPLE SCIENTIFIC PROOF
THAT EXCESSIVE COFFEE CONSUMPTION
IS VERY UN-HEALTHY (caffeine)…
and with all those CAFFEINE BOOST drinks ?

Seems to me that there should also be an 18% tax
on caffeine drinks… TAX IT !!!
