I was in a chat room the other night
and someone challenged someone else
to give a reason to NOT vote for Obama
(I think he was implying racism)

So MISTER BUTT-IN-SKI… ME,
jumped into the fray to shut the a-hole up…

This is the reason I gave him…

OBAMA ONLY HAS 2 MORE YEARS
EXPERIENCE THAN I HAVE !!!

(don’t bring up Palin, I don’t vote vice-president,
I vote president… Quayle wasn’t a deciding factor either)

The ‘reason’ was inspired by an epidode of
the cable, sports comedy… AR$LISS
In one episode, an agent was argue-ing for a
multi-million dollar contract for a marginal pitcher.
The owner argued back that the pitcher
only had ONE win… only ONE more than the owner had…
(and THE OWNER didn’t PITCH FOR THE TEAM)

I’m still ant-sy about Obama…
his political ‘rhetoric’ still reminds me of NJ’s own
Jim McGreevey and the promises of change
from a younger candidate..blah, blah, blah…
and the only change was that the level
of corruption increased 10 fold !!!

I CAN’T HELP BUT WONDER IF OBAMA
IS THE NATIONAL VERSION OF WHAT
WE ALREADY WENT THRU IN NEW JERSEY…

(but McCain sucks too… so it’s voting the lesser of 2 evils)

If they had come out as actors, or americans…

I’ve been hearing a commercial on the radio (xm)
for a product called   FREE PASS.

It’s like EZ pass (pay tolls without slowing down)…
except that it’s for large trucks that are stopped
at weigh stations or for inspection…
(With your good driving record)…
If the sensor glows GREEN…
it means you’ve been electronically examined,
and are allowed to proceed,
without ever leaving the road or slowing down !

A REAL TIME SAVER FOR TRUCKERS…
(especially if there’s an on-time bonus)

BUT WHAT ABOUT  HOMELAND SECURITY ?
I would think these weigh stations might spot
suspicious or dangerous characters
moving questionable loads… (drugs, bombs, etc)

All a ‘bad-guy’ would have to do would be to
commandeer a ‘good’ driver’s truck,
and use it for whatever nonsense he wants…
NO ONE IS STOPPING OR SLOWING HIM DOWN ?

IF I HAVE TO WAIT ON LINES AT AIRPORTS
TO BE NUDE-SCANNED…
STOP THE DAMN TRUCK & GIVE IT A ONCE OVER !!!

Ya know…  PEOPLE SUCK !!!

I was reading about this woman…
who lives in an apartment builiding…
who is hyper-sensitive or ‘allergic’
to just about everything you can imagine…
from foods to smells to fabrics…
HEY… I FEEL SORRY FOR HER…
but I really don’t want to have to make major
alterations in MY life for a non-family member !
(I’d be annoyed if a family member too.. but I’d do it)

The other residents of her builing aren’t happy
that they have to walk-on-egg-shells
in the place they call home !!!
And she probably walks around thinking THEM selfish !

As opposed to EVERYONE else making
life bear-able for her…
SHE should be looking for a more ‘friendly’
home in a more ‘friendly’ enviroment !
or else expect to suffer thru her ailments !!!

I’m reminded of when one of my kids
was the punching bag for a school bully…
The school explained that the ‘other’ boy had ‘problems’…
FUCK HIM !!!
Why should HIS problems ruin my kid’s school experience ?
I was able to make the school see my point of view…
(it might have been the threat of having the kid arrested
& reporting the school ‘attitude’ to the local news outlets…)

AND I SAID THAT PEOPLE SUCK ?

I, personally, know of a case where
the family of a barely functional, insane woman
had a condo (far from family) purchased for her to live in.
It was far enough that the family didn’t have to deal with her.
BUT THE OTHER TENANT-NEIGHBORS
WERE THE ONES IN A LIVING HELL…
She would steal their mail,
throw stones at people for reasons only known to her…
(police & postal inspectors basically gave up)
She had extremely bad hygeine & didn’t believe
in ‘cleanliness’ or talkig out the garbage !
HER behaviour was the cause of OTHER people selling !
She was finally forced out after years
and the THIRD fire that gutted her place…
(endangering neighbors above & on either side)

HER family didn’t have to deal with her…
THEY MADE IT SOMEONE ELSE’S PROBLEM !!!

THE BASTARDS !!!

I’m sitting at the computer on friday nite…
(publishing nite)

I hear someone, in the other room,
playing back the answering machine messages…
I think nothing of it… until… it continues for a while…
then I notice the ‘time-stamp’ is for months before…
(I figure my wife is looking to get the goods on me)
then I realize that she’s not at home…
I GET CURIOUS ENOUGH TO GET UP AND CHECK…

THE G-DAMN CAT IS CHECKING FOR MESSAGES !!!
Somehow it figured out what button to hit
to get it to play back the entire catalog of messages !!!

WELL… I GUESS IT’S BETTER THAN A BURGLAR !!!
But the cat better not be making
any toll calls while I’m at work !!!

SPEAKING OF MY OWN PROBLEMS…

A co-worker asked if I had seen an episode of
LAW & ORDER: SVU
(he knows I’m not the biggest fan of the show)
He thought it great, I said I shut if off after a 2 or 3 minutes,
knowing it was going to suck (for me)…
It threw him off that I would decide so quickly…

Those few minutes had a detective raid a crack-house,
find his daughter (in panties under a guy)…
passed-out, overdosed on whatever…
over-the-shoulder carried to the emergency room,
stomach pumped, and the doctor, somehow,
diagnosing her (from this) as bi-polar !!!
By the way…
The cop’s marriage broke up due to the stress of the job.

GEESH… ENOUGH WITH THE COP CLICHES !!!
I watch cop shows for crime solving,
I watch lawyer shows for case ‘trying’,
I watch doctor shows for medical stories !

I don’t want to be ‘invested’ in the lives of the characters…
A little background? SURE, but leave some mystery !
Tell me a story.. beginning, middle, end…
SVU ?  the other detective’s mother is an alcoholic,
the detective was the product of a rape…
and it screws with her head…
the black cop’s son is gay…
(they have relationship problems.. acceptance woes)

I DON’T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT SIDE STORIES !!!
Best for me to tape and fast forward alot !!!
I JUST DON’T HAVE THE TIME !!!
(or interest)
Start a 2nd show about their away-from-work lives !!!

Like I said…
I have problems of my own…  and if I ignore them..
Why would I dwell on someone elses?

WE’LL ASSUME IT’S THE DICTIONARY DEFINITION

I JUST READ THAT A ‘NEW’ GENERATION
OF TOUCH SCREEN COMPUTERS
(like the i-phone)
WILL BE THE NEXT INNOVATION !!!

I congratulated my buddy from a computer repair shop…
GOOD NEWS FOR HIM !!!
Since a flat panel screen is left best un-touched,
is very delicate by everyday standards,
and VERY expensive to repair !!!
(better to replace, more computers sold)
HE SHOULD BE CLEANING UP !!!

I recommend buying inexpensive laptops…
so it doesn’t hurt as much to junk it.
My daughter’s $1000 HP needed a screen…
The repair is close to $400, the part alone is $250 !!!
It’s also $400 to replace one on a $500 laptop too !
(the web stores priced them all the same)

DO YOU THINK WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO
‘POKING AT’ A MONITOR SCREEN ?

And anyone with a flat panel monitor, or tv,
knows how easy it is to tip one over…
I use that sticky-stuff.. FUN TAK..
to prevent the accidental, casual brush
from causing an expensive disaster !!!
